The Competitive & Livable City of Karachi (CLICK) Project is dedicated to improving urban management and service delivery so that Karachi’s citizens can enjoy safer, greener, and more inclusive public spaces. This page showcases a selection of completed milestones, highlighting the “before” and “after” transformation of key parks and playgrounds across the city.

Malir Union Football Stadium (Chattai Ground), Assu Goth – UC-10 Ghazi Dawood

TMC Malir | Sports Ground
Malir Union Football Stadium, commonly known as Chattai Ground, is a key community sports facility for youth in Assu Goth and surrounding areas. Under CLICK, the ground has been upgraded to provide a safer, better-organized, and more welcoming environment for players and spectators alike.

Before – Underutilized and worn out: The playing surface and surroundings were in poor condition, with uneven ground, basic or damaged boundary treatments, and limited amenities for players and visitors.

After – A safer and vibrant football ground: The stadium has been improved with a leveled and better-maintained playing field, clearer demarcations, and enhanced boundary and access arrangements, making it a more secure and attractive venue for community sports and tournaments.

Umme Huzaifa Family Park

TMC North Nazimabad | Family Park
Umme Huzaifa Family Park serves as a green breathing space in a dense urban neighborhood of North Nazimabad. Through CLICK support, the park has been upgraded into a cleaner, safer, and more family-friendly space for children, women, and the elderly.

Before – Neglected green space: The park showed signs of neglect, with worn-out landscaping, limited seating, and poor overall aesthetics, reducing its use as a safe recreational space for families.

After – A welcoming family park: The upgraded park features improved pathways and landscaping, better-organized seating and activity areas, and a more secure environment, encouraging regular use by families and local residents.

Baradari Park

TMC North Nazimabad | Neighborhood Park
Baradari Park is an important local gathering place for residents in North Nazimabad. CLICK interventions have helped restore the park’s structure and usability, turning it into a more organized and accessible public space.

Before – Deteriorating public space: The park’s pathways and open areas were poorly defined, with signs of structural wear, limited shade, and insufficient facilities for regular public use.

After – Rehabilitated, community-ready park: With improved pathways, rejuvenated open spaces, and better-organized sitting and activity zones, Baradari Park now offers a more functional and pleasant space for everyday recreation and community gatherings.

Akbari Playground

TMC Saddar | Community Playground
Akbari Playground in Saddar provides much-needed open space for children and young people in a busy central area. CLICK’s support has helped upgrade the ground so that it can better serve as a safe and active community hub.

Before – Basic and uneven ground: The playground surface and surrounding area lacked proper treatment and organization, limiting safe play and discouraging regular use by children and youth.

After – Improved playground for local youth: The upgraded playground offers a more even and better-maintained play area, improved boundary arrangements, and clearer access, creating a safer environment that encourages sports and healthy activity.
